Sponsorships: Making the Most of Our Opportunities

With the fall of communism, Mongolia’s traditional religions began making a comeback. Yet by the 1990s there was only one known Christian in Mongolia and not a single church. During this difficult time the Lord provided a way for Mongolians to learn about the love of Jesus freely and openly through Eagle Television—the only local, free-to-air Christian TV station on the entire Asian continent.

In just a few short years Eagle TV made the name of Jesus a household name in Mongolia. And while more than 35,000 Mongolians have come to Christ and more than 400 churches have been established, this represents only 1% of the population. Far more Mongolians have yet to receive Christ. In addition, knowledge of the Bible and an understanding of Christian ethics are woefully inadequate. By helping to disciple the Mongolian church, Eagle TV will help the church fulfill its vision of sending its own missionaries to the rest of Asia.

Discipleship is the key to fulfilling this vision.

You've probably guessed that paying the bills for a TV ministry is a lot different than paying for Bible distribution, or group evangelism. You are right! But your sponsorship of Eagle TV makes a difference in thousands of people's lives in one of the bright spots for religious freedom in Asia.

How can you help? How about sponsoring one of our translated programs like Third Millennium or Together Thru The Bible? Translation of 26 episodes of a single series is only $7,500—and that covers all expenses for the entire year! For such a small amount thousands will not only see these programs and grow spiritually, but distribution of these programs through the Internet and DVD will have an even greater impact!

You can sponsor a single day of broadcasting on Eagle TV that covers everything we do from sign-on to sign-off in one day: News, talk programming, Christian programming, Steppe-by-Steppe, and more. A single gift of $3,000 will carry us for one day and take care of the salary needs of more than 119 full-time staff.

You can help in smaller ways too. It costs just $612 to send our Steppe-by-Steppe teams out into the countryside to conduct Bible-storying, Bible studies, and church planting. That's 10 team members working in multiple communities.
